This natural history-inspired risograph print gives you a little insight into Scotland’s only big, and really secretive, cat. The Scottish Wildcat: a ferocious kitty.
The illustration and design were created by Jennifer Colquhoun, and printed by an Edinburgh-based social enterprise (who use soya-based inks and recycled paper stock). The print is a modern take on the traditional natural history illustration and is perfect for bringing a pop of colour into your kitchen, living room, bedroom, bathroom, den, hall, porch...
Riso printing is a fast, eco-friendly print process developed in Japan. The print process is similar to screenprinting – with each colour printed as a separate layer. This gives you an individual print each time, although substantially cheaper than traditional screenprinting since the print process is super speedy.
The print is taken from an original pencil illustration by Jennifer Colquhoun.
