The Capercaillie illustration (with added, photographic, habitat background taken by Linda Colquhoun), digitally printed on to luxurious silk habotai, and coloured with colours chosen from Werner’s Nomenclature.
The illustration and design were created by Jennifer Colquhoun, and printed by an Edinburgh-based digital fabric printers. The design is a modern take on the traditional natural history illustration and is the perfect way to luxuriously add science to your wardrobe.
The design is taken from an original pen and ink illustration by Jennifer Colquhoun (me), and the scarf is hand finished (also by me) on my trusty sewing machine. The colours are selected from Werner’s Nomenclature: chosen to compliment the wearer and the illustration. The colours used in this design are Duck and Mountain Green.
