To the Museum!
I wanted to find a plesiosaur skeleton IRL, because all I have access to are pictures. And there's nothing like real-life. So I trekked to the National Museum of Scotland, where they don't have any plesiosaurs.
But they had other fabulous extinct beasts and whale skeletons and I love the museum, so it was worth it. I had a good bit of a think about reconstructing from a skeleton, too, and how much fat and muscle animals carry.
I wonder if dinosaurs were actually fat, feathery, chicken-like things. I think Nessie needs to be quite fat, anyway, because she lives in a flipping cold loch.
