More Nessie shapes...
Today I was thinking more about seals. And how Nessie might have a lot more in common with a seal than a plesiosaur... I know, contradicting myself again. Shut up.
So this Nessie is basically just a really long-necked seal. Her flippers would allow for easy movement on land, should she go there, and she would be able to move easily in the water. She would be much larger than a seal (closer to killer whale size), and have a cosy layer of waterproof fur and plenty blubber. I like this idea - it ties nicely in to this article, too.
Continuing a bit on the seal theme, this shape takes the idea that there's more than one monster. Which makes so much sense, but the chances of spotting one would increase dramatically, so I'm not sold on the idea. If this were the case though - whilst some Nessie's could reach killer whale sizes I'm imagining them smaller - more like a male walrus.
It is an intriguing concept, and I do love the long necked seal.
